Income generated from the sale of hunting and fishing permits is used only to fund fish and wildlfie conservation actions on Fort Jackson. It is used for habitat enhancements and management activities specifically designed to improve hunting and fishing opportunities on Fort Jackson.
Purchasing a Permit
To purchase Fort Jackson hunting or fishing permits, you must first register in iSportsman (through the "Register" button found on the blue bar). Once registered, permits can be purchased by clicking the "Acquire Permits" button on your account home page.
Only authorized patrons are allowed to purchase Fort Jackson hunting and fishing permits. See a list of authorized patrons on the Home Page, and in the Fort Jackson Hunting and Fishing Regulation (FJ Reg 28-4).
Note: iSportsman defines "guests" of authorized patrons as Participants if they are actively involved with fishing or hunting activities. Guests in iSportsman are observers only. Guests are not authorized to actively participate in hunting or fishing activities.
Note for Hunters: Prior to hunting on Fort Jackson, all hunters must have completed a state Hunter Education Course. In addition, you must complete the annual on-line Hunter/Angler Safety Briefing. A link to the briefing is found on the iSportsman home page. Guests and Participants are not required to complete the Hunter/Angler Safety Briefing, but it is encouraged. Sponsors are responsible for their guests' and participants' actions. For additional information, see the Hunting page under Activities.
