Weston Lake Update: The water level of Weston Lake has returned to normal levels. Recreational fishing from all types of boats is now authorized. Reminder, all individuals utilizing a boat on any Ft. Jackson pond or lake must wear a Coast Guard approved personal floatation device. Any additional rules or procedures for fishing on Ft Jackson can be found in Ft Jackson Regulation 28-4 which can be located in the regulations tab on this website.
Golf Course Ponds: Golf Course Ponds 1, 2, 3, and Catfish (located on the golf courses) are available for night-time fishing when the golf course is closed to golfers. Golf course ponds 1 & 2 are also open for day-time fishing, but anglers may only fish from the dams and north shoreline of these two ponds. Vehicles shall not be driven on the golf course. You must walk to these ponds.

NOTE: ALL individuals wanting to fish on Fort Jackson must complete the Fort Jackson Hunter/Angler Safety Brief. This safety brief can be found on the iSportsman Home page and must be completed prior to fishing on Fort Jackson. Upon completion of this brief, hunters must print off, sign and date the certificate/card. The certificate/card will be good for one year. This certificate/card is to be carried by fisherman at all times while fishing on Ft. Jackson. For additional information, please contact the Fort Jackson Game Wardens at 751-3115.
All Anglers are required to purchase permits & check in/out of fishing ponds using the iSportsman System
Check in/out of cantonment area ponds is required, with the exception of Heise's Pond when practicing catch-and-release. If you wish to keep fish from Heise's Pond, then you must check in using iSportsman.
Please keep you mobile phones with you and on while fishing. This is so that you may receive important text messages sent from iSportsman.
